JOB TITLE:

Head Football Coach – Grades 7th-8th – Astoria Middle School

REPORTS TO:

Athletic Director/Vice Principal

• Schedule, plan, and implement practices, plus game-day activities in accordance with OSAA and AHS guidelines.
• Inventory all equipment.
• Ability and willingness to assist with fundraising.
• Ability to work well with students, parents, and staff.

1. Current training or willingness to be trained in the following areas:

• NFHS Coaches Education Program Certification
• Concussion Management
• First Aid/CPR
• Heat Index Training Certification

2. Strong communication, discipline, organizational & time management skills with a willingness to learn.

3. Knowledge of High School Federation rules and regulations.
