PrimaryJob Duties
This is a full-time position.
Ramp Agents are responsible for processing baggage between baggage areas in the airport facilities and aircraft, as well as receiving and dispatching aircraft.
- Loading and unloading aircraft and carts
- Stacking and unstacking baggage in aircraft
- Complete safety checklists for motorized equipment
- Drive and operate motorized equipment (e.g., conveyor belt)
- Read and interpret aircraft load sheets, checked baggage tags
- Escort passengers and special needs customers safely and courteously
- Ensure compliance with Sky West and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and policies

- Be at least 18 years old
- Possess a valid unrestricted state‑issued driver’s license
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Position‑specific clearances include but are not limited to FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs clearances required
- Able to pass a pre‑placement background check and drug screen
- Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Ability to lift heavy bags more than 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions
- Attend 4 days of Basic Station Training
This position requires a flexible schedule, including split shifts that may occur during early mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- This is a full-time position, starting at $20 an hour
- This is not a Department of Transportation safety‑sensitive position
This Below Wing Ramp training program spans 5 weeks and includes both computer-based and hands‑on ramp instruction. Training is held 4 days per week, approximately 9 hours per day, with scheduled breaks and a lunch period. Tardiness and absence are not tolerated.
