The RSM is responsible for sales within their assigned territory, providing exceptional customer service and support, including new customer acquisition, customer retention, and overall expansion of Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solution’s presence through customer meetings, trade‑shows/events, channel partner engagement, etc. The RSM will work closely with state and local agencies, educational entities, Inside Sales Team, and Sales Engineering to secure new customers and support existing accounts.
What you will do:- Achieve assigned sales quota on a quarterly basis, defined by forecasting accuracy, pipeline development, and closing business.
- Prepare and deliver a dynamic territory strategy to expand customer base across the Ericsson Enterprise Wireless portfolio, including WWAN, Private Cellular, and Neutral Host.
- Utilize sales tools and resources to develop an effective prospecting plan while maintaining visibility with existing customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency to both prospective and existing customers as defined by documented sales activities.
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual pipeline with sales director and/or area vice president and define actions to drive profitable growth.
- Maintain ongoing communication and exceptional service to existing customers and apply this model to new customers.
- Coordinate company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis, incorporating this information into the territory strategy.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.
- Develop and maintain the company’s image and reputation in the marketplace.
- Utilize CRM for all aspects of account management: lead generation, contact, account setup, and order cycle completion.
- Travel to and participate in trade shows, events, and channel and carrier networking sessions.
- Participate in required training and compliance as defined by the company.
- Maintain adherence to all policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree supported by 5+ years of full‑time technical and/or carrier sales experience in the public sector (state, local government, education).
- Demonstrated success in public sector sales, defined by customer portfolio.
- Experience with procurement vehicles/contracts specific to NASPO, GSA, and other purchasing vehicles.
- Strong experience and knowledge in WWAN and telecommunications, with private cellular and neutral host preferred.
- Recent documented experience managing SLED accounts in the defined territory (Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana), including state agencies/departments, cities, counties, K‑12 and higher education institutions.
- Confident self‑starter with integrity and accountability; exemplary track record of consistent achievement.
- Expertise in implementing and driving a channel sales model.
- Highly competitive, entrepreneurial, and decisive problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to deliver a clear and compelling value proposition to customers/partners.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a team‑oriented environment.
- Must currently reside within Colorado.
