Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Obstetrics/L&D RN for a 13-week travel contract in Colorado, requiring an active CO or compact RN license and perinatal nursing experience.
Responsibilities- Labor and Delivery (L&D) and Obstetrics unit within a hospital setting
- 12-hour night shifts
- 13-week contract
- No RTO (time off requests) will be accepted for this assignment
- Candidates must be able to safely work at high altitude — the facility sits at approximately 8,000 feet elevation and a lower-oxygen environment is a condition of the role
- Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing; the area is known for high housing costs, particularly in winter — nearby towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs may offer more affordable options
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Colorado or compact license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification required (may be obtained upon hire)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Provider (NRP) certification required
- AWHONN Fetal Heart Monitoring Intermediate (FHM) certification required
- STABLE Learner certification required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a perinatal RN
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
