Overview
- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and supportive childbirth experience.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive and patient-centered care throughout the perinatal period.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to assess, plan, and implement effective treatment strategies for optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on childbirth, postpartum care, and health promotion to empower informed decision-making.
- Participate in professional development initiatives to enhance clinical expertise and advance nursing practices.
- Contribute to quality improvement projects aimed at elevating patient care standards and safety measures.
- Engage in a collaborative and supportive work environment that prioritizes teamwork and continuous learning.
- Foster a culture of excellence in patient-centered care and uphold the highest standards of clinical practice.
- Monitor and assess patients during labor and delivery, providing timely interventions to ensure safety and comfort.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to established protocols and standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting care and progress effectively.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Provide emotional and physical support to patients and families during childbirth, ensuring a positive experience.
- Participate in fetal monitoring and neonatal resuscitation procedures as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards in all clinical practices.
- Mentor and support junior nursing staff and students, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification;
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred. - Minimum of 1 year of experience in perinatal nursing; 2 years preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably EPIC.
- Strong knowledge of fetal heart monitoring and neonatal care practices.
- Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous but not required.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centered care and engaging in continuous professional development.
