Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Perinatal RN for a day shift Labor & Delivery position in Colorado requiring BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications.
Responsibilities- Work in a Labor & Delivery setting as a Perinatal RN
- Day shift position, 7am-7pm
- 13-week assignment
- Patient population includes women in labor, postpartum, and newborns
- Use of Epic EMR is preferred
- Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing, which is costly especially in winter; consider Basalt, Carbondale, or Glenwood Springs for more options
- No formally approved requested time off; limited accommodation for RTO when possible
- Must be able to provide safe and effective care for perinatal patients and their newborns
- Priority given to candidates who are able to adapt to a high-altitude environment
- Active CO or compact RN license, unrestricted and currently active
- Minimum of 1 year of perinatal RN experience required
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN or MSN preferred
- Certifications required:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Provider (NRP), Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM), and STABLE Learner (STABLE) - Ability to safely function in a high-altitude, low oxygen environment (8,000 feet elevation)
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
