Quality Control Technician

Position Overview

Plastpro, Inc. seeks a Quality Control Technician with overall knowledge of Plastpro products and accessories, including specifications and methods of inspection. The Technician will inspect all door components during processing and finished stages, making routing decisions on product acceptance using established procedures and instruments.

• Perform line audits and conduct 24‑hour drop area inspections.
• Prepare written reports as directed; read blueprints and verify compliance with specifications.
• Check quality of finished products for shipment and returned goods for stock acceptance.
• Develop and maintain inspection reports for raw materials and finished products.
• Ensure all raw materials and products meet company standards.
• Maintain and calibrate test equipment.
• Report and record quality anomalies to the supervisor.
• Collate test data and draft quality reports.
• Identify areas for improvement in quality control processes.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure quality testing does not hinder production.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Interpret technical information and apply quality and safety standards.

• Operate forklifts, sweepers, and other powered vehicles safely.
• Use sight and hearing to identify product specifications and warning indicators.
• Leverage visual acuity for quality inspections and tool use.
• Perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling to inspect piping.
• Maintain balance to prevent falls while inspecting.
• Climb and descend ladders or steps on company premises.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 30 feet; push or pull up to 2,500 pounds with equipment.
• Navigate equipment with a clearance of 30 inches.
• Grasp and use manual and powered tools safely.
• Operate machinery and hand tools at arm’s length.

• Operate with autonomy under Plastpro policy and Q.C. Supervisor directives.
• Follow company guidelines and policies.
• Make decisions within the scope of quality control oversight.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience as an inspection or quality technician.
• Strong mathematical ability and visual awareness.
• Advanced organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in drafting reports and collating data.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Capacity to stand for extended periods.
