Assistant Nurse Manager

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Nurse Manager provides leadership and oversight across all shifts for assigned nursing units. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Clinical supervision of assigned staff, including time and attendance management, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
• Coordination of unit operations in collaboration with other departments to ensure effective and efficient patient care across all age groups.
• Active participation on hospital committees as assigned.

In partnership with the Director of Nursing, the Assistant Nurse Manager is accountable for achieving quality outcomes, enhancing patient satisfaction, managing fiscal responsibilities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Assistant Nurse Manager may assume the duties of the Director of Nursing as directed or in their absence. This role will perform all other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Strong demonstration of clinical knowledge and skills; must have good oral, written, and interpersonal skills along with strong analytical and organizational skills.

• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience in a related area of nursing.
• Previous healthcare management experience, preferred.

Current RN license in the state of Ohio.

• Handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Standing and walking for extensive periods of time.
• Occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs.
