Echo Technologist – Ashtabula Regional Medical Center

We’re seeking a skilled Echo Technologist to perform diagnostic cardiology testing on patients of all ages, maintain communication with clinical staff, and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

• Perform electrocardiography and echocardiography studies on neonate, pediatric, and adult patients.
• Maintain clear communication between technical staff, nursing units, and physicians to ensure timely completion of tests and reports.
• Provide on‑call coverage as needed.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities and interdisciplinary teams.
• Adhere to department procedures and regulatory guidelines for diagnostic cardiology testing.

• Graduate of an approved echo or cardiovascular program or equivalent one year post high school education in biological sciences.
• Registered Echocardiography Technician or within one year of hire; CPR certified.
• Board certified and board registered in cardiology vascular technology preferred.
• On‑site training candidates must have at least one year on‑the‑job experience.
• Experience in neonatal and pediatric echocardiography preferred; transesophageal echocardiography required.

• Must be able to walk or stand almost continuously during the shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry boxes and equipment up to 50 pounds and push wheeled equipment through carpeted hallways.
• Must understand and follow OSHA requirements, personal protective equipment, hazardous material handling, and MSDS considerations.
• Work in a blood borne pathogen exposure category I environment, where routine duties expose employees to blood and other potentially infectious materials.
