Overview

A confidential client of Peskind Executive Search is seeking a high-performing Senior Account Executive (SAE) to sell mission‑critical technology solutions into municipal, county, and state law enforcement agencies across New England and/or the Greater Philadelphia region
.

This role is built for a true hunter
—a quota‑carrying sales professional who thrives in a lean, performance‑driven environment and takes full ownership of pipeline creation, deal execution, and revenue closure within complex public‑sector sales cycles.

Sales Motion & Operating Model

The organization operates with a streamlined go‑to‑market model. While limited third‑party support exists for lead generation, the SAE is expected to self‑source 80%+ of their pipeline through outbound prospecting, territory planning, and relationship development.

Once prospects advance to product demonstrations or trials, the SAE will partner closely with a dedicated Pre‑Sales Engineer to support technical validation and ensure trial success. The SAE retains full responsibility for progressing opportunities through procurement and securing executed contracts and purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and qualify the majority of pipeline through outbound prospecting
  • Sell directly to Chiefs, Sheriffs, Command Staff, IT leaders, and Procurement stakeholders
  • Own the full sales lifecycle: prospecting → demo → trial → close → PO
  • Partner with Pre‑Sales Engineering during demos and trials
  • Navigate RFPs, pilots, and public‑sector procurement processes
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date opportunity data in Hub Spot CRM
  • Participate in periodic sales stand‑up calls with the broader sales organization
Performance Management

Performance is measured strictly through verified CRM data.
If it is not documented in the CRM, it does not exist.

Territory
  • Primary: New England (MA, CT, RI, NH, VT, ME)
    or Greater Philadelphia region (PA, NJ, DE)
  • Candidates should reside within or have active selling relationships in the assigned territory
Compensation & Commission Structure
  • Base Salary: $110,000 – $115,000 (commensurate with experience)

Commission Plan:

  • Annual revenue quota established per SAE
  • 8% commission on revenue up to quota
  • Additional 1% kicker on all revenue exceeding quota

Commission Mechanics:

  • Commission paid the month following receipt of client funds
  • Calculated on total contract value when paid in full up front
  • Pre‑Sales Engineer receives a separate 1% commission on supported deals
Founding Go‑To‑Market Equity (One‑Time Awards)
  • Immediate‑vesting equity grant upon achieving a Board‑defined revenue milestone within a calendar year
  • Additional immediate‑vesting equity grant upon achieving a higher secondary milestone
  • Each equity award may be earned once per category

Success in this role requires strong territory discipline, comfort navigating procurement‑heavy sales cycles, and a mindset rooted in accountability, urgency, and results.
