About the Job

Ashland Medical Center is currently seeking an Obstetrics Registered Nurse to join our Family Birthplace team. Registered Nurses are professionals who provide leadership and direction to the patient care teams. The RN manages, organizes, and provides direct care incorporating clinical decision making and prioritization of activities. Specifically, the OB RN provides care for expectant women to ensure both the mother's and baby's health.

The primary responsibility of the OB RN is to help women through labor, provide initial care to newborns, and offer patient education. The ability to think critically and handle emergencies is important for an OB nurse to provide safe and effective care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing or a state approved school of Nursing
• Licensed in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
• OB experience preferred

Department: Obstetrics

Shift Time: Rotating Shift, Holiday Rotation, Call Required
