Machine Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)
Location:
Ashland, VA
Pay: $26 per hour
Schedule:
1st Shift | Contract-to-Hire
We’re looking for a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to support our production operations on the 1st shift. This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of machine shop equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on machine shop equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
- Work on CNC lathes, mills, saws, plasma burn tables, water jets, press brakes, and similar manual machines.
- Identify and order parts, install replacements, and verify equipment functionality.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and adhere to all safety procedures.
- Hands‑on experience maintaining and repairing industrial or manufacturing equipment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in a large company or with a maintenance service provider preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Must be reliable, safety‑conscious, and able to work independently.
