Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Ashland, Virginia. This role focuses on supporting accurate corporate tax return preparation and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in tax preparation and review, with a keen eye for detail and expertise in corporate tax compliance.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review corporate tax returns to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.

- Assist in the preparation of individual tax returns as needed.

- Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to efficiently manage tax preparation processes.

- Conduct thorough reviews of completed tax returns to identify and correct errors.

- Collaborate with the team to maintain checks and balances during tax preparation.

- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

- Provide detail-oriented support and guidance to ensure accurate tax filings.

- Organize and manage tax documents to facilitate seamless preparation and review processes.

- Communicate effectively with team members to address tax-related concerns and improve processes. Requirements - Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and compliance.

- Proficient in preparing and reviewing individual tax returns.

- Strong knowledge of Lacerte Tax Software and its applications.

- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.

- Ability to interpret and apply tax laws and regulations accurately.

- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members.

- Previous experience in a tax preparer role is essential.

- Commitment to maintaining accuracy and professionalism in all tax-related tasks.
