We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team in Ashland, Virginia. This role involves spearheading the enhancement and sustainability of equipment reliability within a dynamic industrial setting. The successful candidate will leverage their technical expertise to optimize maintenance processes and ensure the seamless operation of machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve equipment failures, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive effective outcomes.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects and RCA initiatives, ensuring meticulous planning and execution.
  • Develop and implement solutions derived from RCA findings, verifying their effectiveness and adjusting strategies as necessary.
  • Analyze environmental and operational factors affecting equipment performance, such as humidity levels and electrical input.
  • Monitor the application of maintenance methodologies and propose enhancements to boost equipment reliability.
  • Communicate consistently with the maintenance department to align on priorities and improve processes.
  • Lead initiatives to refine maintenance procedures, focusing on defect handling and breakdown elimination.
  • Train and mentor operators on various maintenance aspects, including defect handling, breakdown elimination, and continuous improvement disciplines.
  • Identify and implement strategies to minimize the negative impact on machine reliability.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data to facilitate problem-solving.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations with innovative and standard approaches.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capability to prioritize effectively.
  • Interest in Lean Production System principles is advantageous.
