Job DescriptionThe selected candidate will be placed in the classification in which they meet minimum qualifications.
What You Will Do- You will serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer.
- Attend training to obtain CDL licensure, if not already a licensed CDL holder.
- Perform highway maintenance activities; including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, mowing.
- Perform snow & ice operations.

QualificationsHighway Maintenance Worker 1
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary.
- Must obtain Class B Commercial Drivers License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.
Highway Technician 1
- Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition & subtraction & decimals, percentages & fractions; ability to read, write & speak common English vocabulary.
- 3 months training or 3 months experience in operation of basic equipment.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.
