Overview
Spring Meadow Veterinary Clinic is a small, privately owned, mixed-animal practice in Ashland, OH. We are professional, innovative, fun and our goal is to welcome a new Associate Vet to support our growing clientele. Conveniently located 1 hour north of Columbus and 1 hour south of Cleveland, our college town makes a great living environment with many activities throughout the surrounding area.
Excellent mentorship available for new grads. We are a progressive, fully equipped, AAHA accredited practice with an excellent support team, including registered technicians, allowing our Drs. to provide excellent quality care. Our newly built hospital is fully computerized, featuring a complete in-house Idexx lab;
Isoflurane anesthesia, anesthetic monitor, dental suite with dental x-ray, ultrasound, therapy laser and surgical laser. The practice also includes a new facility with digital x-ray unit, equine power floats, isolation ward, large animal haul-in capabilities. We emphasize client education and preventative medicine along with the latest options for medical and surgical treatment for our patients both in-house and through referral.
This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Veterinarian located in Ashland, OH. The Associate Veterinarian will provide compassionate and high-quality veterinary care to animals, including conducting examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing surgeries, and recommending preventative care measures. The role also involves collaboration with the veterinary team, communicating effectively with pet owners, and maintaining medical records in compliance with clinic standards.
Qualifications- Proficiency in diagnosing and treating a variety of animal health conditions and performing surgical procedures
- Strong skills in animal care, preventative medicine, and pain management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client interaction and collaboration with the veterinary team
- Ability to maintain accurate medical records and compliance with industry standards
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution and a valid veterinary license in Ohio
- Ability to provide emergency care and manage urgent cases is an asset
- Experience or interest in a specific area such as dentistry, orthopedics, or exotic animals is a closer
