Campground Coordinator ; Mohican

Overview

What We Need We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of part-time permanent Campground Coordinator 2 within the Division of Parks & Watercraft, headquartered at Mohican State Park in Ashland County. This position is budgeted for approximately 1700 hours/fiscal year and will work every weekend and also work some nights and holidays.

• Coordinate campground operations for Mohican State Park
• Serve as a lead worker over seasonal staff
• Assist park & campground visitors with disputes, questions, inquiries
• Coordinate & handle special events
• Starting hourly pay of $22.96/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 5.5 years of service, with an end salary of $27.92/hr
• There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service

Unusual Working Conditions Works outside exposed to weather.

• Formal education in arithmetic that includes multiplication, division, fractions, decimals & percentages & in reading, writing & speaking common English vocabulary
• 3 months training or 3 months experience in bookkeeping
• 3 months training or 3 months experience in first aid techniques
• 9 months training or 9 months experience in operation & maintenance of park equipment & vehicles
• Valid driver’s license
• Or equivalent of the Minimum Class Qualifications noted above
