Position Summary:

Since 1961, the Wellborn family has owned and operated Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. The goal is to provide kitchen and bath cabinets crafted by dedicated Wellborn employees with the utmost quality and care. Today, over 55 years later, the product line has broadened to include cabinetry and storage solutions to help maximize the total home living space. One of the initial points of contact in preparation for Manufacturing.

This role will employ care and organizational skill to continue to make Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. the most valued provider of permanent home cabinets designed for a lifetime of gracious living.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Transports various materials (particleboard, wood, painted or non-painted parts) from one location to another with a forklift depending on the department.
• Uses Forklift to deliver parts to proper locations depending on department.
• Stocks parts in rack locations depending on department.
• Transports buggies and/or pallets of parts to the correct locations throughout plant.

* Note - additional experience required for Forklift Operation 2 position

Forklift Operator 2 (Laminator, Panel parts, Glue Up Rough Mill, Planer Mill and Rough Lumber departments)

• Delivers various types of parts to different areas of the plant depending on the material.
• Utilizes various types of equipment for movement of heavier material.

* Note - additional experience and advanced training required for Forklift Operation 3 position

Forklift Operator 3 (Stacking/Grading, Sawmill and Drykiln departments)

• Utilizes various types of equipment for movement of heavier material with lifts with higher weight restrictions required.
• Uses heavier outside equipment to load and haul logs and lumber around the Sawmill, Dry Kiln, and Log yard areas.

* Must complete the provided Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training for any forklift position

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED, or 1yr of equivalent experience.
• Certified to operate forklift, powered pallet jack, Order picker, etc. depending on the department.

Scope and Impact:

Position has recurring work situations that involve having a high attention to detail and service results. It is important that Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. Safety protocols be followed as a guide for operational direction. Failing to follow prescribed guidelines will waste resources and adversely impact performance.

The employee is subject to extreme inside environmental conditions frequently with protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature change.

Must be able to endure the extreme heat of summer weather.

• Primarily works in a manufacturing and dusty environment.
• Frequently required use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear clearly.
• Frequently required to bend; lift; stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
• Frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequently required to lift up to 100 pounds (sawmill areas)
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
