We have an opportunity for a Grinding Supervisor to join our Ashland, Ohio team. You will provide resources, ongoing work direction and problem solving to ensure business goals are met under the guidelines of company policies and procedures. This role acts as a change agent to drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology. The Grind Department Supervisor will be responsible for safe operations, setting and assessing performance against goals, and developing talent.

• Lead the Grind Department with a focus on safety indicators to ensure a safe work environment.
• Maintain a customer‑first attitude aligned with Win Right Values.
• Handle Workday transactions for employee hiring, onboarding and offboarding, directly or through subordinates.
• Ensure success of day‑to‑day production activities within the foundry while driving continuous improvements.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, emphasizing the prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions.
• Conduct daily audits on safety, quality and productivity metrics.
• Develop and monitor schedules, manpower, leader’s standard work and quality standards.
• Manage resources of the assigned areas of the Grind Department.
• Ensure timely disposition of scrap and non‑conforming materials.
• Manage vacation schedules to ensure adequate coverage and completion of departmental work products.
• Provide input and make recommendations for requisitioning, placing, and training of employees assigned to the designated production area.

• 5+ years of leadership experience in a foundry environment, managing hourly direct reports.
• Iron sand foundry experience preferred.
• Experience working in a union environment desired.
• Mentor, coach and develop talent and future leaders within a manufacturing environment.
• Lean manufacturing experience highly preferred.
• Ability to lead and coordinate multi‑functional team projects.
• Standard computer and software skills (Office Suite, ERP, etc.).
• Availability to work 5:30 am – 4:00 pm Monday through Thursday and during required Fridays.

For this full‑time position located in Ashland, Ohio, the anticipated annualized base pay range is $61,200 – $113,600 per year. Actual compensation will be commensurate with work experience, education, and other business or organizational needs. This position may also be eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
