The Mapleton Board of Education is seeking qualified applicants for the position of superintendent. The new superintendent is expected to take office on or before August 1, 2026.
Leadership Criteria and Qualifications- Understanding of and appreciation for the unique needs and strengths of rural schools;
- Ability to lead a shared vision focused on continuous improvement, high expectations, and success for all students;
- Strong instructional leadership grounded in student achievement, data‑informed decision‑making and effective teaching and learning practices;
- Demonstrates financial leadership including school funding, budgeting, levy planning and long‑term fiscal forecasting;
- Effective communicator and collaborator with the Board of Education, administrators, staff, families and the community.
The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
