The Mapleton Board of Education is seeking qualified applicants for the position of superintendent. The new superintendent is expected to take office on or before August 1, 2026.

• Understanding of and appreciation for the unique needs and strengths of rural schools;
• Ability to lead a shared vision focused on continuous improvement, high expectations, and success for all students;
• Strong instructional leadership grounded in student achievement, data‑informed decision‑making and effective teaching and learning practices;
• Demonstrates financial leadership including school funding, budgeting, levy planning and long‑term fiscal forecasting;
• Effective communicator and collaborator with the Board of Education, administrators, staff, families and the community.

The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
