Position Overview

Pay Rate: $25/hr + mileage if surpassing 50 miles in a day
Key Responsibilities- Arrive onsite during scheduled installation windows; check in with store management.
- Locate, inventory, and prepare new hardware for installation.
- Follow all procedures, including:
- Removal and boxing of legacy peripherals (e.g., card reader, hand scanners, specialty devices).
- Installation of updated POS systems, peripherals such as:
- Digital signature pad
- Card reader (if applicable)
- Printer
- Micro PC, monitor, keyboard, and mouse
- Reimage PCs using provided USB imaging keys and perform configuration steps.
- Conduct post-installation validation, including:
- Printer test pages
- Outlined system checks
- Confirmation of successful software installation
- Obtain signoff from store management upon completion.
- Follow all store access and security protocols; resecure restricted areas before leaving.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and leave the space in equal or better condition than arrival.
- Wear approved business casual attire (collared shirt, slacks, closed-toe shoes).
- Communicate professionally and courteously with store personnel and project leadership.
- Standard schedule:
Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM local time - After‑hours work may occur only with project approval.
- Travel to 2 retail locations within assigned regions within Ashland, KY.
- Technicians must be able to:
- Drive independently using an optimized route schedule.
- Transport installation tools, USB imaging keys, and spare peripherals.
- Deliver deinstalled hardware to a shipping location within one week of removal.
- Phone screening
This is a Contract position based out of Ashland, KY.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00/hr.
