ACU has an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Loan Originator to join our Mortgage Department in Ashland, KY.

• Assist ACU’s members with obtaining real‑estate secured loans by guiding them through the mortgage process, understanding their needs, and offering appropriate solutions to build long‑term relationships.
• Assist ACU’s business members with obtaining commercial real‑estate secured loans and other business loans by guiding them through the process and creating sustainable relationships.
• Utilize active listening skills to understand member needs related to real‑estate and business lending.
• Maintain an organized pipeline of pending loans through effective process management.
• Create a great member experience and solidify ACU loyalty by proactively responding to member needs through both service and sales channels.
• Manage risk scenarios with sound judgement, high ethics, and prudence grounded in ACU policies and procedures.
• Serve as a brand ambassador in all interactions with members, community influencers, employees, board members, and volunteers.
• Actively attend all required compliance and behavioral skill training to ensure excellent job performance.
• Use resources such as outbound calls, financial wellness conversations, targeted outreach campaigns, and center‑of‑influence activities to maximize member interactions.
• Network with local realtors and entrepreneurs to build community partnerships.
• Perform other duties as requested by Senior Leadership or manager.

High school diploma or GED required; 2+ years of college preferred.
