About the PositionLocum Jobs Online is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Neurology MD in Ashland, Kentucky, 41101!
We are seeking a skilled Neurologist for an 80-day assignment in Kentucky, starting May 18, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive outpatient neurology services, including specialized clinics focused on dementia, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular conditions, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. The successful physician will manage a diverse patient caseload, contributing to both outpatient and inpatient care, including stroke patients.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive general outpatient neurology care.
- Lead and manage sub-specialty clinics focusing on dementia, movement disorders/Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, and neuromuscular/EMG services.
- Approve stroke protocols for emergency room patients.
- Manage approximately 15 outpatient and inpatient neurology and stroke patients per day.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team, including five EMG technicians for neuromuscular services.
Additional Information
- Board certification in Neurology is required.
- Experience with Epic EMR system is preferred.
- This is an opportunity to practice at a thrombectomy-capable stroke center.
