Leader Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist SEND school in Ashington, Northumberland.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support a pupil on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing and inclusive environment.

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs
• Assist in delivering personalised learning activities
• Support social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Work collaboratively with teachers, SENDCO, and wider support staff
• Monitor and record progress in line with EHCP targets
• Promote inclusion, independence, and wellbeing

• Have experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable)
• Be patient, resilient, and empathetic
• Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
• Be adaptable and proactive in supporting individual needs
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
