Cover Supervisor

Position: Cover Supervisor (Permanent)

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

Supervise classes during short-term teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task and engaged.

Deliver lessons using plans provided by teachers, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.

Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and promote a safe, respectful atmosphere.

Work collaboratively with teaching staff and contribute to the wider life of the school.

Work closely with class teachers to boost learning and attainment.

Foster independence, confidence, and social inclusion among pupils.

Support individuals or small groups to help them access the curriculum and experience success.

What we are looking for:

Ideally, you will:

Demonstrate strong skills in spoken English, written English, and maths, with the ability to communicate instructions clearly.

Enjoy interacting and engaging with students, maintaining a positive and supportive classroom environment.

Be confident in managing a classroom independently, following lesson plans provided by teachers,

Be a team player who works collaboratively with teaching staff and support teams.

Be committed to ongoing training and professional development, including safeguarding and behaviour management.

Have experience with working with children or young people in educational, care, or youth settings
