Virtelle Hospitality is expanding its portfolio to include a new boutique hotel in Asheville's River Arts District. Artful Way is now accepting applications to join our opening team as Hotel Maintenance Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of something from the very beginning and help shape the guest experience from day one. ResponsibilitiesAs a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for making sure that our hotel is kept in top working order. You will plan and oversee preventative maintenance projects to take care of our building and be responsible for the operational safety of our guest and employee spaces. With your skills in basic level carpentry, you will be in charge of cosmetic repairs when needed, as well as resolving light to moderate plumbing and electrical issues if they arise.
You will also work closely with the Corporate Director of Engineering to make sure that all certificates, licenses, permits and inspections are up to date.
- Friendly and enjoys working as a team
- Can lift and carry objects of up to 50 lbs regularly
- Can lift and carry objects over 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexible availability in case of emergencies
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills
- Ability to self-manage ongoing projects effectively
