PositionSummary
Install and service low voltage category cabling, fiber optic cabling, communication equipment and other various low voltage related systems such as Category 6, Category 6A, and Fiber Optic Structured Cable Distribution Systems. Install J-Hooks, ladder rack, flex tray, network racks, patch panels, terminate copper cabling, terminate fiber connections, and comply with OSHA safety regulations. Computer and software literate. Strong organizational skills to maintain systems documentation, compliance and testing reports, and account information for a customer site.
Overnight travel may be required.
- Active BICSI Installer or Technician credentials preferred
- Must pass criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen to retain and maintain licenses that are required by the State of North Carolina.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Must have 3-5 years’ experience installing, inspecting, repairing, and troubleshooting low voltage copper cabling and fiber.
- Must have a positive and cooperative attitude and excellent attendance.
- Must be able to get along with fellow workers, other tradesmen on the job site, inspectors, customers and the public.

- Work is primarily performed both indoor and outdoor environments in all/extreme weather conditions.
- This position requires physical activity including extended periods of standing and walking, frequent sitting, kneeling, bending, crouching, reaching, stooping and climbing.
- Requires the ability to frequently lift and/or carry materials and/or supplies and other materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Occasional lifting and/or carrying of materials and/or supplies weighing up to 100 lbs.
