Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

The good news is that we have an amazing training program to teach you everything you need to know to be a Guest Advocate. But there are a few skills you should have from the get-go:
- Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentiveness to guests' needs
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
- Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
- Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
- Work both independently and with a team
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established time frames
Responsibilities typically include:
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
- Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
- Make guests aware of current promos, store activities and events
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store, and specific to your area, to solve issues and improve guest experience
- Thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target
- Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
- Scan and bag items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Educate guests on Target App features including Wallet and assist with enrollment/activation
- Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and direct guests to enroll and use these features
- Handle returns per policy and escalate to leadership as needed while following Target’s procedures
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and assist with stocking during store hours
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards
- Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders and returns while complying with applicable laws (e.g., adult beverage laws where relevant)
- All other duties based on business needs
