Cook II Floater

Location: mainly in Asheville with willingness to travel to Mill Spring.

Cooper Riis's kitchen offers our team members a creative environment for our meal preparation using fresh, local, and organic whole foods and also promotes a supportive team environment. We offer set shifts so our staff know their hours are guaranteed each week and they can count on a consistent start and end of all of their shifts. The floater position works shifts between our two campuses on a schedule determined in advance.

We also offer a full benefits package which includes generous PTO and sick time accruals.

• Full Time Guaranteed Hours
• 30 hours per week guaranteed and ability to work up to 40 hours
• 9 am to 7 pm shift or 6 am – 4 pm shifts
• 3-4 shifts per week

Starting at $18.50 per hour and increases based on experience

• Timely preparation and service of scheduled meals and snacks
• Creativity of meal preparation and planning using fresh, local, and organic whole foods
• Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment
• Follows all applicable health code regulations
  
  Ability to accommodate specific dietary needs
• Assists in the dish room as needed
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager

• Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and/or 2-5 years of experience
• Thorough knowledge of whole food cuisine
• Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Experience working with adults coping with mental health challenges is preferred
