ADay In The Life Of a Cook
At Samaritan's Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotions and spend time praying for each other, our staff and volunteers who serve around the globe.
In the role of a Cook you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him
- Prepare menu, orders, and purchases to serve the staff and volunteers at the Rebuild site
- Work with the Office Manager and Volunteer Coordinator to accurately keep receipt reports and timesheets
- Maintain the kitchen and kitchen equipment
- Prepare breakfast and dinner each day for Rebuild volunteers and staff
- Oversee cleanliness of kitchen and dining hall
- Greet all staff and visitors and utilize volunteers to assist in the kitchen
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience- High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) to three (3) years experience in food preparation; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Serve Safe handler certification is required
- Effective time management skills
- Thorough knowledge of inventory management
