Thermo Fisher, an industry leader in manufacturing and quality assurance, is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join their team. As a Quality Technician, you will be an integral part of the quality assurance department supporting production and inspection teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a commitment to safety and compliance, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Quality Technician

Location: Asheville, NC

Pay Range: $20

Shift: First Shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00am)

What’s the Job?
  • Key Responsibilities:

    Ensure compliance with cGMPs and regulatory requirements as it pertains to inspections/part qualifications.
  • Serve as a GMP resource to Production and other internal teams, strictly preventing any regulatory liabilities or client dissatisfaction.
  • Perform First Article Inspections as directed using various methodologies and tools (calipers, CMM, etc).
  • Perform data entry for NCM and MRB items as needed.
  • Track and trend NCM data and dispense to site leaders.
  • Perform incoming inspections in a timely manner to support production needs.
  • Adhere to all job-related safety protocols and training requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support the continuous improvement of our operations.
How will you get there?

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; ASQ CQT certification preferred; IPC 610 and/or 620 certification preferred.

Experience: Proven experience in Quality Assurance within a GMP environment required;
Ability to read engineering drawings/blueprints required.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong analytical skills;
Outstanding attention to detail and thoroughness in all tasks;
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
Dedication to upholding high standards of safety and compliance.
