Registered Nurse - Inpatient Overflow Unit

Location:

Mission, NC

Assignment Duration: 13-week contract position.

Schedule:

7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

We are seeking a compassionate and team-oriented Registered Nurse for our Inpatient Overflow Unit. This unit specializes in providing care for medical-surgical and step-down patients with a typical patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:6, which may vary depending on the level of care required. The unit accommodates short-stay patients with a focus on quick turnover and telemetry monitoring as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and assess patients' needs.
  • Monitor patients' telemetry when indicated, ensuring safety and effective communication.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records using Cerner.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
  • Telemetry competency and progressive care experience are essential.
  • Recent experience in a progressive care setting is preferred.
