Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit RN – North Carolina

Start Date: February 16, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Day or night shift available; every other weekend required; 4:1 patient ratio at grid, 5:1 when stretched

Highlights:

• 44-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in neuro and trauma care
• Work with advanced equipment including IV pumps, chest tubes, PCA pumps, trachs, and patient lifts
• Cerner EMR system
• Strong team-based environment with dedicated charge nurses, RNs, CNAs, and unit coordinators on each shift
• Opportunity to perform diverse procedures including neuro/spinal checks, chest tube management, blood transfusions, and feeding tube placement
• Floating limited to stepdown and med-surg units

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license or compact state license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Neuro and trauma care experience required
• Ability to manage complex patient assessments including C-collar placement, TLSO braces, lumbar drains, and IV infusions
