Job Opportunity – Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: February 16, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, alternating weekends

Highlights:

• 16-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit specializing in high-acuity critical care
• Patient ratios of 2:1 or 1:1 based on acuity, ensuring quality patient care
• Advanced equipment including vents, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices
• Cerner documentation system
• Hands-on experience with complex procedures including cardioversion, central line insertion, bronchoscopy, and chest tube management
• Opportunities to work with cutting-edge cardiac technology and interventions

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina
• ICU experience required
• Demonstrated proficiency in titration of vesicant medications and pressors
• Experience with sedation, paralytics, ventilators, and tracheostomy care
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills
• Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
• CCRN certification recommended; IABP, Impella, and CRRT experience highly desirable
