Job Opportunity – PICU Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: January 16, 2026
Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Schedule: 6-week scheduling block; 3 weekends required per block; self-scheduling available

Highlights:

• Work in a 9-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at a top-tier hospital recognized as one of America's 50 Best Hospitals and a Leapfrog 'A' Hospital Safety Grade recipient
• Patient ratios: 1:1 to 1:2 in PICU; 1:2 to 1:3 in stepdown settings
• Utilize Cerner documentation system and Alaris pumps for patient care
• Collaborative environment with unit secretaries during day shifts and shared tech support
• Float opportunities to Pediatrics and NICU units
• Part of a Magnet-designated facility with Level II trauma center and the region's only children's hospital services

Requirements:

• Active RN license in North Carolina
• PALS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of PICU experience
• Proficiency in IV starts, catheterizations, central line dressing changes, hemodynamic monitoring, trach care, tube feeding and placement, ICP monitoring, and ventilator management
• Ability to assist with procedures including lumbar punctures
