Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a travel Trauma Care Stepdown (PCU) position requiring a NC or compact license and NIH Stroke Certification.
Responsibilities
• Work in the Trauma Care Stepdown/PCU unit of a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Care for trauma stepdown patients in a progressive care environment
• Assignment length is 13 weeks
• Provide care to trauma patients transitioning from ICU to general care
• Submit required documents including US Social Security Number and date of birth for consideration
• Scrub color or dress code details not specified
• Holiday coverage or scheduling not specified
Requirements
• Active NC or compact RN license required
• At least one year of recent specialty experience as an RN in a progressive care or stepdown unit
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA or ARC required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Must provide at least one professional reference
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted)
