Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit during the designated shift. In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values.
Responsibilities- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to foster teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
- Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Help operationalize current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds, to improve engagement.
- Recommend and implement staff training, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor to meet patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
- Maintain proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Required
Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or enrollment in a BSN program with completion within 5 years of hire. RNs with 10+ years of experience are exempt. - Preferred Education:
Master’s in Nursing. - Required Licensure/Certification:
Current North Carolina RN license. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply. - Required
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. - Preferred
Certifications:
National certification in a nursing specialty area. - Required Experience:
One year of hospital nursing experience.
