Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Trauma Care Stepdown (PCU) night shift travel position requiring active NC or compact licensure and NIH Stroke certification.

• Work in the Trauma Care Stepdown (Progressive Care Unit) within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes stepdown care for trauma cases
• Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 13-week travel contract
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius
• Responsibilities include caring for stepdown trauma patients and monitoring for neurological changes
• Holiday and weekend coverage may be required as scheduled
• Only U.S. Social Security Numbers accepted
• References and certification documentation required at time of application

• Active NC or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in progressive care or stepdown specialty
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Current AHA or ARC BLS and ACLS certifications required, with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment
• Must provide US Social Security Number and date of birth for consideration
• At least one professional reference required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
