What You Will Do- Operate a variety of production machines. Perform routine operations on the production line to produce blades and/or vanes and conduct quality checks. This position requires shift work and overtime when needed.
- Train on the job to become proficient and certified in operations within a standard work loop related to coatings, grinding, hole drilling, or finishing of turbine airfoils.
- Follow work instructions provided.
- Demonstrate understanding of quality and production.
- Apply broad knowledge of machine shop practices, metal cutting qualities, machining, fabrication and tooling. Read drawings and sketches, use advanced shop mathematics and various precision measuring instruments.
- Work from drawings and operation sheets, using decimals and fractions and a variety of precision measuring instruments.
- High School Diploma / GED
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Knowledge of machining methods
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience or education
- 2 or more years of machine operator or manufacturing experience
