What we are looking for:
We are looking for a supervisor to lead our wall department. The right person for this job is an experienced leader with mechanical aptitude, and someone who is excited by the challenges of a fast-paced custom manufacturing environment.

- Create and maintain a safe and fulfilling work environment for employees and coordinate departmental activity to ensure quality standards and schedules are met with maximum efficiency.
Team/Safety related:
- Coordinate weekly and daily activity in the department, providing instructions that are in accordance with company policy.
- Develop employee skillsets with training and experience
- Plan and oversee employee career development
- Conduct performance reviews
- Participate in hiring decisions
- Identify and promptly address safety risks
- Uphold company policy and procedure.
- Maintain and improve team cohesion and morale
- Assign wages and raises for department employees
Quality/Delivery related:
- Review output quality to ensure quality standards are consistently being upheld
- Ensure department is maintaining pace relative to the production schedule
- Provide feedback and coach/support employees to ensure quality standards are met
- Communicate with Quality Assurance to make iterative improvements to standard operating procedures and quality standards.
- Communicate and coordinate with the production manager, other supervisors, and lead hands to schedule work for best plant efficiency.
- Coordinate tools and materials for production employees
- Understands the importance of fairness and safety to maximize the mental and physical health of a team
- Is highly engaged, self-motivated and focused on meeting performance and quality expectations
- Incorporates continuous improvement into regular activity as a path to long term success
- Prioritizes experience as a mechanism for professional growth, career development and stability
- Constantly demonstrates teamwork, through truthful communication, active listening, and collaboration.
- Always maintains a positive attitude and influences others through enthusiasm, inspiration, commitment and pride.
- Demonstrates accountability for personal and team actions to meet commitments through honest, fair and transparent behavior.
- Experience leading a team, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- At least 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Engineering Technology degree
- Formal leadership training is an asset
- Based on qualifications and experience
