Position Overview

CASE Consultants International is seeking a Weather Forecaster to support 24/7 combat operations for the 25th Attack Group at Shaw AFB. This role involves high-tempo operational forecasting in support of global MQ-9 missions. As part of a critical mission support team, you’ll provide tailored meteorological products, mission briefings, and real-time weather analysis directly impacting operational planning and aircrew safety.

The ideal candidate for this position is a seasoned, certified weather forecaster with a proven track record supporting DoD aviation operations under high-stakes, 24/7 conditions. They thrive in dynamic environments where precision, speed, and clarity are critical. This individual brings deep familiarity with CAVOK, AFW-WEBS, and other operational forecasting tools, and is adept at tailoring weather products for global mission execution.

They have extensive experience briefing aircrews and commanders, including during combat and emergency operations, and possess a firm grasp of COMSEC, OPSEC, and classified communication protocols. Technically fluent and operationally mature, the ideal candidate is also comfortable mentoring others, contributing to unit readiness, and delivering under pressure—all while maintaining the professionalism and discretion required of a TS/SCI-cleared role.

Clearance Required: Active Top Secret/SCI with SAP/NATO ACCM eligibility

Position Type: Full-Time (Standard hours with mission-driven flex)

Salary Range: $65,000 - $95,000 + benefits

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver real-time MEFs, weather graphics, and mission briefings across global theaters
  • Analyze and track hazardous weather, including lightning, icing, and thunderstorms
  • Support Met Con collaboration and maintain operational continuity through pass-down logs
  • Use tactical weather tools including CAVOK, AFW-WEBS, and Mark IV-B
  • Modify forecasts to align with evolving operational conditions and flight paths
  • Provide weather guidance under high-stress combat conditions
  • Maintain classified protocols (COMSEC, OPSEC, COMPUSEC) with precision
Qualifications
  • 2+ years as a certified weather forecaster supporting DoD operations
  • Certification may include USAF 1W0X1 3-level, FAA, NOAA, or service equivalent
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational weather systems
  • Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance (Interim not accepted)
  • Comfortable working shift rotations (3 x 8-hour shifts, 24/7 coverage)
