Housekeeping Room Attendant (Part-Time) – Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park
Job Description
The starting pay range for this position begins at $16.32/hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements.
Flex: A position working an average of 20-29 hours per week (between hours/year). Schedule may vary, but is generally 8am-4pm with holidays and weekends required.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain guest rooms to expected standards in an expedited manner while offering exceptional guest service.
- Work in a team atmosphere as a housekeeping attendant, performing upkeep and presentation of rooms and other locations as assigned.
- Dust, vacuum, polish furniture and sanitize bathrooms.
- Replenish amenities and perform deep cleaning projects and floor care as required.
- Assist department leadership and support the company’s operations.
Essential Job Duties
- Accept and complete daily assignments while maintaining proper time management skills and exceptional performance.
- Proper storage, replacement and placement of guest room amenities and linens.
- Make up beds in guest rooms following standards; dust and vacuum guest rooms.
- Proper storage and usage of cleaning chemicals while maintaining safety measures.
- Clean and sanitize guest bathrooms, mirrors and windows using proper chemicals.
- Empty and dispose of trash properly.
- Stock and clean housekeeping cart.
- Perform deep cleaning of rooms as necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping and/or custodial, janitorial, or related field strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping and/or room operations preferred.
- Commitment to delivering world‑class guest service and anticipating guest needs.
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling and cleaning techniques helpful.
- Proven ability to multi‑task effectively, work as part of a team and under deadlines, and exercise good judgment; must be able to prioritize.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to be proactive and take initiative as appropriate.
- Solid communication skills; must be able to respond appropriately to guest requests.
- Ability to operate/use small commercial cleaning equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally (with assistance).
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work area; must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, reach overhead and below.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift; may occasionally work in locations where the ability to climb ladders or stairs would be required.
