Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, alternating weekends (schedule varies)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

• Deliver high-acuity cardiac ICU nursing care with skill and compassion, keeping patient safety front and center
• Manage mechanical ventilation and tracheostomy care to optimize respiratory support
• Titrate vesicant medications, pressors, sedatives and paralytics safely and according to protocol
• Interpret telemetry and advanced hemodynamic monitoring, including PA catheter setup and interpretation
• Participate in advanced cardiac procedures such as transvenous pacing, cardioversion and TEE support
• Perform chest tube insertion maintenance and support other invasive procedures as needed
• Document care accurately in Cerner and communicate clearly with the multidisciplinary team
• Support unit flow and staffing needs, including floating to other areas when required

• Active RN licensure with the ability to work in North Carolina (compact licensure helpful)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience (cardiac ICU experience strongly preferred)
• Proven experience with mechanical ventilation, tracheostomy care and telemetry interpretation
• Skilled in titration of pressors, sedatives, paralytics and vesicant medications
• Comfortable with PA catheter setup/interpretation, transvenous pacing, cardioversion and chest tube care
• CCRN recommended; experience with IABP, Impella and CRRT appreciated

• Mechanical ventilation management and trach care expertise
• Telemetry and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Advanced hemodynamic assessment and PA catheter interpretation
• Familiarity with IABP, Impella, CRRT and other mechanical circulatory support devices
• Procedural support skills for chest tubes, central lines and pericardiocentesis
• Solid documentation skills in Cerner and strong interdisciplinary communication
