Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work on the 40-bed E5 CARD unit located on the 5th floor of Owen Heart Center (Heart Tower)

• Patient ratios of 1:4 with stretch staffing at 1:5 ratio

• Care for patients with CHF, MI, chest pain, arrhythmia, pulmonary hypertension, valvular disease, endocarditis, DKA, post cardiac catheterization/stent, post pacemaker/ICD/ablation procedures

• Work with specialized equipment including Zoll monitors, Baxter pumps, lift equipment, and bladder scanners

• Use Cerner EMR system

• Required to work every other weekend

• Float to all Medical/Surgical units, stepdown units, COVID unit, and ER holding as needed

• Perform bedside cardioversion procedures

• Must have stepdown or progressive care experience and telemetry experience

• Experience required with titratable or cardiac IV medications including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, amiodarone, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin drip, heparin, Bumex/Lasix

• Preferred experience with prostacyclins (Flolan, Veletri, Remodulin) and relief charge experience

• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS

• Dress code requires all white or all navy blue scrubs, or white top with navy blue pants

• Must demonstrate flexibility, positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and compassion
