Job Description

The Dual Service Manager is a management position responsible for developing and implementing culinary and housekeeping solutions to meet residents' needs and tastes. Oversees and manages culinary and EVS operations in a senior living facility.

Job Responsibilities
  • Leadership

    • Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations

    • Identify client needs and communicate operational progress

    • Ensure the completion and maintenance of P&L statements
    • Deliver client and company financial targets
    • Adopt all Aramark processes and systems, understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins
  • Productivity
    • Bring value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management
    • Follow the Operational Excellence fundamentals by meeting and maintaining food and labor initiatives
    • Ensure entire team is trained and able to implement
    • Supervise team regarding production, quality and control
  • Compliance
    • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers and employees
    • Follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations, including but not limited to those relating to safety, health, wage and hour
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Lead the front of the house of the dining operation (Cafeteria/ Residential Dining Facility)
    • Plans, directs, and coordinates food service activities in order to deliver a finished product to the customer

Qualifications
  • Requires at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a healthcare and/or senior living
  • Requires at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a management role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service model
  • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other departments to a unified food service experience for all customers
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be a certified dietary manager, or a certified food service manager; or has similar national certification for food service management and safety from a national certifying body; or has an associate’s or higher degree in food service management or in hospitality, if the course study includes food service or restaurant management, from an accredited institution of higher learning; or has 2 or more years of experience in the position of director of food and nutrition services in a nursing facility setting and has completed a course of study in food safety and management, by no later than October 1, 2023, that includes topics integral to managing dietary operations including, but not limited to, foodborne illness, sanitation procedures, and food purchasing/receiving;

    and in States that have established standards for food service managers or dietary managers, meets State requirements for food service managers or dietary managers, and receives frequently scheduled consultations from a qualified dietitian or other clinically qualified nutrition professional.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
