RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a high-volume emergency department with over 100,000 visits annually

• 101-bed emergency department with 4:1 patient ratios typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds

• Every other weekend scheduling required - department needs must be met, no block scheduling available

• Float within all sections of the ED but no floating outside the emergency department

• Work with Level II trauma center and comprehensive stroke center cases

• Use Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience required with at least 1 year in emergency room setting

• Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, and high-volume ED preferred

• Previous HCA experience preferred

• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback

• Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required

• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS

• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire

• Navy scrubs required uniform

• Patient experience requirements include AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards updated

• Support available from techs in cardiac monitoring, triage, and internal processing areas plus unit clerks on days and nights
