RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in a 101-bed Emergency Department at a Level 2 trauma center and comprehensive stroke center

• Handle high volume emergency department with over 100,000 visits annually

• Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds

• Every other weekend scheduling required with flexible scheduling to meet department needs

• No floating outside of ED but must be flexible to work in all sections within the emergency department

• 2 years nursing experience required with at least 1 year in ER setting

• Work with Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system

• Required certifications before start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS

• ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire

• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and provide real-time feedback

• Follow AIDET protocols and maintain respectful patient experience standards

• Previous HCA experience preferred

• Navy scrubs uniform required

• Support techs available for cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage areas
