RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work in 101-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 4:1 typically for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds

• Must work every other weekend schedule and be flexible to meet department needs

• No floating outside of Emergency Department but must be open to floating to all sections within the ED

• 2 years of nursing experience required with at least 1 year in ER setting

• Experience in Level 2 trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, high volume (>100,000 visits) ED required

• Previous HCA experience preferred

• Must demonstrate teamwork mentality and ability to coach and give feedback in real time

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS before starting date, ENPC within 90 days of hire

• Use Baxter pumps, GE monitors, and Cerner documentation system

• Follow AIDET protocols, maintain respectful behavior, ensure positive patient experience, keep boards updated with information

• Navy scrubs required as dress code

• Work with techs available in cardiac monitoring unit, internal processing area, triage, and unit clerks on days and nights
