Role

Summary:

Responsible for the coordination of patient care, management, and business activities by providing leadership for the delivery of pharmacy services. Practices as a pharmacist by working collaboratively with other health care disciplines and patients to develop individualized therapies and optimal outcomes with evidence based care. Evaluates appropriateness of medication orders and responsible for accuracy and safety of prescribed medications in all work locations.

Exercises management responsibilities through supervising assigned staff, problem-solving, issue resolution, and process improvement. Responsible for regulatory compliance from the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy and other accrediting organizations.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required
  
  Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
• Preferred Education:
  
  A residency and/or Pharm.
  
  D. degree is preferred
• Required License:
  An active license to practice in North Carolina, or eligible to become licensed in North Carolina within 60 days
• Required Experience:
  
  At least two years of pharmacy experience with demonstration of leadership or administrative responsibilities
• Preferred Experience:
  
  Previous hospital experience and/or pharmacy residency is desirable
